After being in a state of semi hibernation for the winter months, it’s lovely to see the sunshine from my window even if I’m not out there enjoying it! There’s something about longer days and the scent of spring jasmine drifting around that makes the world a bit brighter, and the anticipation of summer begins.
It’s also been an exciting week, the folks over at Breach Zine have published a short story from me called Seaweed, which is a flash fiction horror story about a kelp factory and town secrets that refuse to stay buried when the wind calms and the sea finally stops churning. Breach put out an amazing publication with some up and coming and established Australian/NZ talent, and is well worth a read. Breach #11 is available over on Smashwords now if you want to grab a copy.
In addition, I got the chance to sit down and answer some of their questions in a quick chat about writing, speculative fiction publishing in Australia, and my Friday night movie preferences. Interview is live on the breachzine site in the Transmissions section: Interview with Breach
Speaking of Friday, the week’s almost over! Where does the time go? Till next time – happy reading.
